May 6, 2024

Issue in Focus

Glen R. Finney, MD, FAAN, visited Washington, DC, in April to participate in BrainPAC’s Lobbyist for a Day program. While in DC, he accompanied the AAN’s Congressional Affairs team to meetings and events on Capitol Hill to discuss AAN advocacy priority issues. Focuses of the team's efforts this spring include the Safe Step Act and telehealth flexibility.

Finney is an experienced AAN advocate who has attended Neurology on the Hill for many years and maintains a strong relationship with his local congressional representative. As the former chair of the BrainPAC Committee, he is well-versed in how BrainPAC amplifies the voice of neurology on Capitol Hill. With the Lobbyist for a Day program, he got to see it firsthand!

Eligible members of the AAN who contribute the maximum legal amount to BrainPAC each calendar year receive benefits including an invitation to Washington, DC, to join our Congressional Affairs team and discuss the relevant issues of the day! Learn more about BrainPAC.
