Leadership University Subcommittee

The Leadership University Subcommittee reviews and develops the curriculum for self-directed leadership development to reach a broader audience for both virtual and in-person learning.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and execution of Leadership University
  • Support the leadership development needs of all neurology professionals (i.e. APPs)
  • Develop regional and virtual programming and curriculum
  • Collaborate with the Leadership Development Committee’s other subcommittees for enhanced alumni engagement and cohesion
  • Attend two subcommittee meetings each year
  • Participate in conference calls with other subcommittee members on relevant issues as they arise throughout the year
  • Serve on ad hoc work groups as assigned

Selection/Appointment

Members are appointed by the AAN President Elect and can serve a maximum of three two-year terms.

Estimated Time Commitment

Two meetings annually and conference calls as needed.

Committee Composition

The subcommittee is comprised of 15 voting members, including the following:

  • Senior Neurologist
  • Advanced Practice Provider
  • Leadership Coach
  • Ableism Representative
  • Medical Student
  • Additional members assigned at large
