Resident & Fellow Resources

Residents & Fellows

Access valuable resources for residents and fellows, including AAN Trainee Trivia and the Consortium of Neurology Residents and Fellows.

AAN Trainee Trivia

AAN Trainee Trivia is a free, live, fun-filled online neurology trivia contest! Hosts present cases and accompanying questions focused on localization and diagnosis. The cases are brief vignettes that include videos and photos to emphasize highly educational but challenging concepts in clinical neurology. In addition to being a fun social event to support trainee wellness, AAN Trainee Trivia contains valuable and relevant content to aid trainees in their education.

Trainee Trivia

The next AAN Trainee Trivia will be on Tuesday, August 20, from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. CT on Zoom!

Save the Date and How to Sign In

No registration is required. Some advance coordination with your team (if you choose to have one) is recommended. Use the "Add to Calendar" or "Join Now" buttons above to save the date for the next event on your calendar or quickly join the current event.

How Does it Work

To participate in the trivia contest, you will need access to Zoom and Kahoot! app. Don’t have either? Download Kahoot! on Google Play or the App Store and Zoom.

You can play as an individual, but we encourage you to find teammates to play with because you will be competing against other teams.

Here’s a quick breakdown of how each session will run:

  1. On the night of the event, click on the "Join Now" button above to join the Zoom webinar.
  2. The hosts will share their screen to present the cases from PowerPoint.
  3. Participants will be muted, and the chat function will be enabled during the event.
  4. Participants will join the Kahoot! game using a computer or their smartphone and enter the pin that’s shown on the PowerPoint slide.
  5. Trainees—individually or as a team—will have 60 seconds to answer each question with more points awarded for accuracy and speed.
  6. At the end of each round, the hosts will show the Kahoot! leader board.
  7. The winning teams will be acknowledged via emails and social media sent by the AAN.

The winning team at the end of the night earns the satisfaction of being Top AAN Trainee Trivia Team of the day and all the bragging rights that come with that title.
